{WW} Colour-Block Booties

Always down for a good colour-blocking session, these Sam Edelman booties had me at white heel. And cobalt. Oh, and suede... soft, supple suede. Basically what I'm trying to say is these badboys were a no-brainer. The moment I saw them I was as good as sold, although it did take me a few weeks to justify yet another pair of booties — but hey, the heart wants what it wants.

Nothing says 'weekend wear' quite like slouchy sweaters and ankle boots, or as I like to refer to them, my new fall uniform. These suede Massimo Dutti booties in particular fit like a dream, and the very sight of them conjures up images of pumpkin fields and hot apple cider in my mind... Man am I ever ready for fall! And as far as this weekend goes, I'm thinking of getting hopped up on Pumpkin Spice Lattes and purging my closet like a mo-fo to make room for more booties and, well, slouchy sweaters... It's an evil, yet beautiful cycle.

{Style} Pop of Plaid...

Plaid, suede and tortoise details aside, I'm totally ready for fall and it has everything to do with the fact that I've already had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season... My boss nearly tackled me when I offered her one yesterday (I guess somebody's a little puritanical when it comes to seasonal goods), but workplace outbursts aside (I kid, I kid), it was sooooo worth it... PSL's for the win!

{Style} Plaid & Persona...

Nothing says fall quite like forest green, so I figured why not double up with a blazer-boot combination? These boots were an Urban Outfitters find about six or so years ago, and they only see the light of day during certain circumstances; namely, clear days when the suede won't get utterly destroyed by rain and gooey dirt... Yes friends, I'm smart like that.

In other news, I'd like to draw your attention to the snazzy new bracelet on my wrist... My good friends at Persona were kind enough to pop it into the mail for me, and I couldn't be more thankful. It's a super versatile piece from their Black Label, and I love how I can mix it up and wear different combinations with the marcasite beads (and even mix metals— peep the gold watch combo!). Thanks, Persona!
