Ever since writing this post title, I can't get that Venga Boys song out of my head... Ack! Annoying maybe, but fitting as this is what I wore to ring in the new year with family and friends. I'm slightly obsessed with this skirt from local design darling Malorie Urbanovitch, and to prove it, I've worn it more times than would be considered appropriate for the short length of time I've owned it... But I guess that's the mark of a good thing, no? And speaking of good things, I'm still buzzing with excitement at the thought of a new year and all the potential it holds... Let's make 2014 count, friends! xx

{Style} Sparkle Motion...

There's nothing like a little sparkle to elevate your mood on a cold winter's day, and this skirt was just the ticket. It's like the perfect blend of holiday chic, Liza Minnelli stage-wear and all that jazz... Zing.

This week has taken a lot out of me, so I'm planning on having a quiet weekend at home with my gentleman. No plans, no obligations, just delightful nothingness... Doesn't that sound heavenly? I'm thinking movie marathons, magazines and cocoa by the fire, all the while sporting my new uniform of choice— pajamas. Don't let these photos fool you, I'm totally scrubbing it up this weekend! That's right my friends, I lead an exiting life.

{Style} Rain Man...

Rainy days don't have to be all doom and gloom, especially when there are fun accessories to brighten up your mood. Now that I'm "shopping my closet" instead of actually shopping (read this for details), I've been having a lot of fun rediscovering old favourites. Take this scarf for instance; It was a thoughtful gift from one of my besties (thanks Jen!), but somehow I had forgotten all about it... Not hard when you typically buy more stuff than you can keep track of, but I digress. Anyway, the bright colours and paisley prints arranged throughout the scarf added extra oomph to my otherwise dull outfit, and as an added bonus, I got to bust out my snazzy, never before worn rainboots... The takeaway? If you take a few minutes to inject a little colour and pizazz to an everyday outfit, you might just be pleased with the results... Take that, rain!

It feels like an eternity since I was in New York, so when my good buddy Jenna sent me these pics from our trip, I just couldn't resist posting them. I mean seriously, how dreamy is the backdrop? City lights, serene waters and a seriously gorgeous sunset to top things off — it doesn't get better than that, my friends... Memories, memories.
