Ever since writing this post title, I can't get that Venga Boys song out of my head... Ack! Annoying maybe, but fitting as this is what I wore to ring in the new year with family and friends. I'm slightly obsessed with this skirt from local design darling Malorie Urbanovitch, and to prove it, I've worn it more times than would be considered appropriate for the short length of time I've owned it... But I guess that's the mark of a good thing, no? And speaking of good things, I'm still buzzing with excitement at the thought of a new year and all the potential it holds... Let's make 2014 count, friends! xx

Maternity Style Lookbook: Mixing Patterns

What I'm Wearing
J Crew Chambray Top - on sale!  The Perfect Shirt in dots is also really cute and on sale.
Forever 21 Dress - Love these kint dresses that are under $15, this grid pattern is also a great style.
Kate Spade Wedges - mine are from last year but adore these bow wedges and these ones too!
Marc Jacobs Bag - my go to cross body bag.  Love that it has wallet slots and tons of pockets built in, I never have to dig through this bag to look for anything, it's all organized for me already!
t+j Designs Cuff and Necklace - it's our 2 year anniversary and we're celebrating with a free gift with $20 purchase!  Get my favorite tortoise bracelet for free!  We've got tons of new arrivals this week, I'm so in love with every style.

Thanks goodness for knit dresses!  I bought this dress early on in my pregnancy and it has been a go to in every trimester but especially in my third trimester when seriously nothing fits anymore.  I'm making things work like wearing my buttons downs as cardigans and staying away from anything with zippers.  I've been told that I'm "lucky" to be pregnant during the summer but I've also been told that I'm "unlucky".  Either way I don't think there's a good season to be pregnant but since I typically just wear dresses during the summer it's been an easy transition.  It's just getting used to my gigantic belly which has been tough!

{Style} The Great Outdoors...

Well my friends, it's finally happened — I've officially been roped into camping. Now I realize this may be a pastime many of you hold dear, but I'm honestly freaked out by the thought of it... Although to be fair, that may have something to do with all the Slender Man I've been watching lately, but still. So this weekend while you're are having fun gallivanting and sleeping on comfortable surfaces, think of me sleeping with one eye open and a kink in my neck... Oh the things we do for love.

{Style} If I Was Your Boyfriend...

Boyfriend jeans are one of those things that are eternally on my to-buy list, but somehow it just wasn't in the cards for me... Until now, that is. After randomly wandering into the Gap under the lure of $8 T-shirts (true story), I felt compelled to try on these distressed bad boys that were hanging all sad-like in the corner. Long story short, I'm officially a boyfriend jean devotee, even if I'm epically late to the party... Just don't hold that against me.

{Glitter Week} The Clutch...

Well I guess this is it, friends... Another theme week has come and gone, but not before I show you  my favourite glittery item of them all — my Kate Spade clutch. I bought it last year (some of you might recall this ancient Wardrobe Wednesday post) and have loved it as much as I've worn it... A lot. It's just such a fun, festive piece that I can't help but come back to time and time again. Hey, once you go glitter, you never go back.

{Style} Varsity Blues...

I blame this outfit on Pinterest... Why you might ask? Because my impressionable mind saw a pic of a girl wearing a varsity jacket and decided right then and there that I needed one too. Yup, that's how my mind works, ladies and gentlemen. The crazy part is I never even liked them before let alone did I want one. They always seemed so high school to me, conjuring up images of Buffy the Vampire Slayer traipsing around graveyards in an oversized jacket and pink spandex... Hot.

Kate Spade travel wallet - similar here (on sale).  I love this wallet and that it can double as a clutch.  It works fab as a travel wallet as I can keep my passport and various travel documents and credit cards all organized but it works great as a clutch too because of all the card slots and various pockets inside.  I adore it.  I found it at the Kate Spade outlet a few months ago so not sure if it's still there.
t+j Designs Pink Teardrop Necklace (new arrival!).  The chain bracelets will be on our website in a few weeks!

Excuse the funny shirt tuck job. :) It was super windy that day so I was trying to control my hair and necklace and I think my shirt got untucked by the strong wind. I wear this blouse WAY too much but I can't help it!  It's such a fun happy color!  The problem with the Blythe Blouses is that everyone has one so I always see a few girls wearing the same blouse when I'm out.  But I still love it :)  J Crew gets me every time with their blouses, I always want to buy every new color they come out with!
