Maternity Style Lookbook: The Last One!

What I'm Wearing
SheInside Dress - Similar maxi but in floral pattern and this printed maxi is gorgeous as well.
Madewell Cardigan - Madewell's sweaters are getting me excited for fall.  I'm loving this boucle varsity jacket (and it's on sale) and the Fair Isle Striped Sweater.
Kate Spade Wedges - I'm loving the Kate Spade fall collection, adore these heels and these cute star flats
t+j Designs Love and Star Necklace
Tortoise, Pave Link and Pyramid Bracelets
Double Band Ring

I took these photos just a few days before Layla decided to make her early appearance. In the last weeks of my pregnancy, I was not feeling so great.  I was very swollen and felt very huge and told my husband that I didn't want any more pictures.  He convinced me that I should still take them as I may never be pregnant again and now that I have these, I'm so glad that I took them!  I look at her now and can't believe that she was in my belly.  I'm finally getting back into the swing of things, we've had a ton of family time with a lot of visits from family and friends and things are finally calming down a bit.  I'm excited to have some time to just be a little family with my husband, baby and dogs.  As much as I love visitors, it's still a lot of work, so hopefully will be back to blogging soon!  I'm looking forward to it, I've missed you guys! :)

Maternity Style Lookbook: Statement Necklace + Ruffles

What I'm Wearing
Forever 21 top - similar ruffle tank but in lace!  This adorable chiffon top is a similar style and would probably work on my bump too but also look cute once the baby is here.
H&M Maternity Jeans - I splurged on a pair of designer maternity jeans but my H&M maternity jeans have been my go to's.  I highly recommend them if you are pregnant and wanting some great fitting jeans at a great price, I think they were only around $30!  I also just saw that J Crew is finally doing maternity clothes!  If I wasn't at the end of my pregnancy I would be all over that.  Their Pixie pant is one of my favorites and I actually wore them a lot during the beginning of my pregnancy but now that they have the Maternity Pixie Pant, if I ever get pregnant again I am so getting them.  They are truly one of the most comfy and flattering pants on.
Coach Wedges - these are so old but they've held up so well!  These are actually very similar, looks like the wedge is exactly the same material which I think is great since these are one of the more comfier shoes that I own.  These wedges are also a great classic look and on sale.
t+j Designs Crystal Brooch Necklace (new arrival!)
Crystal Accent Bracelet and Chain Link Bangle - don't forget this week we are giving away the Tortoise Chain Bracelet for FREE with all orders over $20!

Even though our house is new and we love most everything about it, we are still changing up quite a few things so I am all consumed by house stuff these days.  We did paint the baby's room a beautiful shade of gray and I'm so happy with it.  I may do a nursery tour for the blog later but it's definitely not ready yet!  We're currently using it for half baby stuff/half storage so it's a mess!

Maternity Style Lookbook: Mixing Patterns

What I'm Wearing
J Crew Chambray Top - on sale!  The Perfect Shirt in dots is also really cute and on sale.
Forever 21 Dress - Love these kint dresses that are under $15, this grid pattern is also a great style.
Kate Spade Wedges - mine are from last year but adore these bow wedges and these ones too!
Marc Jacobs Bag - my go to cross body bag.  Love that it has wallet slots and tons of pockets built in, I never have to dig through this bag to look for anything, it's all organized for me already!
t+j Designs Cuff and Necklace - it's our 2 year anniversary and we're celebrating with a free gift with $20 purchase!  Get my favorite tortoise bracelet for free!  We've got tons of new arrivals this week, I'm so in love with every style.

Thanks goodness for knit dresses!  I bought this dress early on in my pregnancy and it has been a go to in every trimester but especially in my third trimester when seriously nothing fits anymore.  I'm making things work like wearing my buttons downs as cardigans and staying away from anything with zippers.  I've been told that I'm "lucky" to be pregnant during the summer but I've also been told that I'm "unlucky".  Either way I don't think there's a good season to be pregnant but since I typically just wear dresses during the summer it's been an easy transition.  It's just getting used to my gigantic belly which has been tough!

ASOS Maternity Review

Thursday, August 1, 2013

I haven't bought much maternity clothes during my pregnancy, I actually haven't bought much clothes, period.  My bump didn't really pop until about 29 weeks (I know this because that week was the one where all my friends would exclaim, "oh you definitely look pregnant now!") and so I just worked with my regular wardrobe but with my much loved BellaBands or just lived in stretchy knit dresses.  Now that I'm significantly bigger, it's much harder to work with my pre-pregnancy wardrobe so am buying a few more maternity items to get me through my last month.

ASOS' maternity line caught my eye as they have a ton of cute styles and so I ordered this polka dot dress, this floral skater dress and this dotted blouse with bow back.  The polka dot dress was cute but fit too big so it gave me the affect of being bigger than I am which I already don't need, the dotted blouse was much too tight in the bust which I've been struggling with in lots of tops as my bust is out of control these days.  And lastly, the floral dress was juuuuust right!!  (Oh and size wise, I took the size 2 in everything that I ordered.)  The elastic waist fits comfortably above the bump and I love that it has short sleeves as I rarely find short sleeve dresses that I like.  The dress does end a little longer than I typically like (right below my knees whereas I like above my knees) but everything else, the print, the colors and the fit I love.

I haven't had a chance to take lookbook pictures in it yet even though I've worn it already but thought I'd put together this little outfit to show you how I will be wearing it next!

I have found though that for petite ladies like me, the ASOS petite line also has some great flowy and stretchy dresses that really work with baby bumps and that fit a bit better than the maternity dresses which I feel are made for ladies that are taller than me.  I highly recommend to stick with stretchy knits and nothing with buttons and zippers.

Here are a few more styles that I'm loving and that I think will work great for the rest of my pregnancy.

What I'm Wearing
Maxi Dress c/o TJ Maxx - I actually found the exact same dress by LC Lauren Conrad (and it's on sale) but mine is a different brand.  I adore this dress and has been a go to during my pregnancy.  Also love this chevron stripe maxi dress and this one is similar and under $30!
Juicy Couture Cardigan - I just love long cardigans and I'm always on the lookout for long ones.  Love this hot pink one that's on sale!
Prada Bow Flats - I think those are this year's version as I got mine awhile back but these are one of my favorite flats.  So comfy and love the big bow!  These are a bit more classic looking and I'm loving blue for the fall.
t+j Designs Necklace and Bracelet - new arrivals today!  Check out all of our new pretties!
YSL mini Chyc - Here is the larger and newer version of my bag.  The mini is a bit harder to find so if you have your eye on the bag, nab it when you see it or else I'm sure it will be gone!  I actually have this little mini crossbody on the top of my wishlist!
Chloe Sunglasses - I actually see my style on a lot of the flash sale sites like Gilt, Ideeli or Hautelook.  I actually bought my second pair of these on Gilt, that's how much I love them!

Today is my last and final collaboration with my favorite bumpin' bloggers!  I got to show a work wear bump which I know is not the most standard since I either work from home or go to my very casual office (where I'm the boss and don't care what people wear!) so I chose something that I thought most people could get away with at work.  I know that dressing with a bump is hard because you just want to be comfy most days so a maxi is definitely the way to go when you want to look nice but stay comfy.  I paired it with my favorite flats and a new favorite statement necklace!

What I'm Wearing
SheInside Top - comes in white too and this other white version is gorgeous.  Or this pretty pink one that's on sale for $20!
J Crew Jeans - this thistle print is also really cute, but I LOVE the dotted mint jeans.  So cute!
Bellaband - a pregnant girl's best friend.  However I've heard from several people that they hated them but mine has been a lifesaver throughout my pregnancy.  I bought both the Ingrid and Isabel ones and the cheaper version from Target and I do think the more expensive version is worth it as the fabric is nicer and stays in place better.  If you are going to wearing them a lot then definitely go for the Ingrid and Isabel version.
Prada wedges - Similar and I actually just bought those exact wedges but in Coral.  The nude ones would be perfect if I didn't already have the pair that I'm wearing.  These are super comfy too!
Chloe Sunglasses -I have this style in black and burgundy, I love these sunglasses.  Chloe always makes cute styles, these wayfarer style are a favorite and on sale.
t+j Designs bracelets

I just posted my 33 week bump but I'm still way behind on my lookbooks so I do look noticeably smaller here :)  Trying to catch up but so much to do and so little time to blog!  I love these floral jeans and thought it would be a perfect summer pairing with the pink lace top!  I love summer for being able to wear all my brights and prints together.  Hope everyone is having a great week!

Bumpdate: Almost There

Tuesday, July 23, 2013

Every time someone asks me how I'm feeling these days I have no response except for "almost there".  That's how hopeful I am to have this baby before my due date.  :)  In actuality I still have over a month to go (this bumpdate is lil behind, I'm 34 weeks now!) but I'm at the point of being tired of being tired and uncomfortable all the time.

Good things to report:
Belly button is still an innie (hoping it will stay that way!)
No stretch marks

Not so good things:
Gaining 1lb a week - which is a good thing pregnancy wise - it's a not so fun thing when I see my face and body get rounder and rounder by the second.
I can't paint my toenails anymore.
This is how I walk
:)

Lookbook: Bubble and Baroque

Friday, July 19, 2013

What I'm Wearing
ASOS Dress (c/o) - I'm actually wearing the petite version which is sold out but the maternity version is the same.  Love the baroque print, this bodycon dress is really cute and same print in a skater skirt!
RD Style faux leather jacket (c/o) - thanks to RD Style for sending over a bunch of goodies!  I'm so excited to bring this jacket out come fall.  I was able to wear it on a windy day but it's going to be perfect for my fall transition wardrobe.
t+j Designs Neon Bubble Necklace - such an easy way to add some color to your outfit.  I'm obsessed with the neon ones!
t+j Designs Turquoise watch - I'm so happy that we added watches to our line, I love them and get so many compliments.  We have a lot of happy customers as well who love our quality and price points on all our watches :)
Kate Spade wedges (similar) - Kate Spade makes the cutest wedges, I want so many of them!  Love these red bow espadrilles (on sale) and these floral wedges (also on sale!)
YSL Mini Cabas Chyc bag - I bought mine before they became "Saint Laurent" so the new style is slightly different but I love this bag and highly recommend it.  It's the perfect size, easy to carry both with the handles or the shoulder strap and the leather is so nice and buttery and gets better with age.  There's a few new colors including this pink which I'm just loving!

Lookbook: Bumpin' it in shorts

Monday, July 15, 2013

What I'm Wearing
J Crew Sweater - on sale!  I love the little whales! :)  Also on sale in polka dots.
H&M Belly Band - I have to say I'm impressed with H&M's maternity selection and that they have these belly bands in different patterns.  Got this one in a two pack with a red striped one too.
J Crew Shorts - on sale in various colors.  Still have yet to find maternity shorts that don't look atrocious on me, so still wearing my regular shorts despite that I have to keep them unbottoned to fit the bump.  Gotta love the invention of the belly band!
Kate Spade flats - mine are from last year but they have these updated ones with bows on them or these in a fun leopard print.
Marc Jacobs bag - there are a couple of Marc Jacobs bags that are on sale for Nordstrom Anniversary sale.  Love this clutch/crossbody and the Venetia is the perfect work bag.

If you've been following along, this is the 3rd in the collab with 4 other mommy-to-be bloggers and styling our bumps!  I'm seriously loving being part of these series and seeing how other bloggers are staying stylish during their pregnancies.  The bigger I get, the harder it is to put together cute outfits so I love having these ladies to turn to for some outfit inspo!

Lookbook: Stripes and Lace

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

What I'm Wearing
ZLZ Coat (c/o) - the quality of the jacket is nice, the lace is not the cheap kind that wrinkles at every point and the coat is lined inside.  It's a great spring to summer coat.  Loving a few of their other lace pieces like this dress and this blouse.
J Crew Tunic - wearing a tunic definitely helps hide the bump especially when I'm not wearing maternity jeans.  Take 40% off all sale today only!  Use code WEDNESDAY.  Similar tunic and on sale for $39.  I also like their popover style too in this pretty blue.
Rich and Skinny jeans -  I rarely wear snakeskin print but love the print of these that make them stand out from the rest of my jeans and will definitely be wearing them through the fall.
Gucci heels - same style in black
Chloe Mini Marcie - also here in a gorgeous gray.  Definitely one of my top favorite bags and probably favorite purchases of the year!
t+j Designs Bib Necklace | Chain Bangle (featured in this month's People Style Watch!) | Pearl Bracelet (on sale) and Emerald Pave Bracelet

Wore this outfit earlier in the summer when it wasn't quite so hot, I'm definitely not wearing this many layers now!  Thanks for reading and hope you are enjoying your week!

Lookbook: Baby Shower

Monday, July 8, 2013

What I'm Wearing
Zara Tweed Coat - really cute tweed coat here for $40!  More of a fall tweed coat but love this one with the leather sleeves too.
BCBGeneration dress - I ordered about 20 dresses to find the perfect pink dress to wear to my shower and fell in love with this one when I took it out of the package.  Sizing wise - it's definitely roomy.  I had ordered a size small to accommodate my bump but it was still too big so I went with the XS and it fit great even with my bump.  And for being under $100, I was very happy with the price point! I ordered it off Amazon because I'm a Prime member and I get free 2 day shipping but I found it here for even cheaper and it even comes in an XXS!
Louboutin Simple 100 pumps - I am in love with these nude See by Chloe wedges.  Same look but comfy wedge version!  Get the "look for less" with these.
RED Valentino clutch - ooh, love this pretty new lace version of my clutch.
t+j Designs Luxe Deco Necklace and Pink Pave Bracelet (Heart charm bracelet and the other pave bracelet are new collections to come!)

My outfit for my baby shower!  My shower theme was pink and Hello Kitty so I matched it perfectly even though I had no idea until I showed up!  I had such a great time seeing my girls that I haven't seen in awhile as schedules are so busy these days so it was nice to have some time with everyone.  My sister with the help of one of my friends put together such a cute little party for me and I loved every moment of it!  With the clock ticking and it becoming more and more real that I'm going to have a baby here soon, I think I've officially hit that "nesting mode" that everyone talks about.  I've been cleaning and organizing like crazy!  My husband is like - where are you getting this energy?  I really have no idea!  I just want to clean and organize everything these days!

Lookbook: Neon Polka Dots

Monday, July 1, 2013

What I'm Wearing
SheInside Dress - love this one with the polka dot sleeves!  And the color of this orange number makes me happy.  It's perfect for the summer, may have to order it.  I love the look of the high low dress, this floral dress is really pretty too.
Madewell Cardigan - Get an extra 40% off all sale at Madewell - ends tonight!  Lots of cute stuff like this mint polka dot tank and this peter pan collar tank on sale.
Prada Sandals - Mine are old but I always get excited to pull these out for the summer.  I love the blue!  Ooh these Prada sandals are pretty and a good price!  These ones are on sale.  Or blue Prada wedges!
Marc Jacobs Bag - in black and a larger size.
t+j Designs Necklace | Bracelet | Watch

We took these photos right before we moved from our old neighborhood and I do miss seeing the view of the Space Needle all the time and being so close to downtown.  My husband and I are such city people and our new house is not in the suburbs (we couldn't do that to ourselves) but we are a bit farther out from the city than we're used to so it's been quite the adjustment.  Don't get me wrong, we love our new home and it would've been impossible to have a baby where we used to live but we certainly do miss it!

This is the 2nd of the Maternity styling collaboration that I'm doing with these gorgeous ladies, make sure to check out their outfits too!

Lookbook: Crochet

Friday, June 28, 2013

What I'm Wearing
Eryn Brinie Blazer - White Blazers are a definite staple in my closet.  Love this Rachel Roy blazer and this one is on sale for under $40 and comes in so many colors!
Hailey Tunic c/o Darling - love the crochet tunic, it was a cold and windy day so paired it with a blazer but it looks great on it's own and with a pair of leggings too.  This little red tunic is so cute too.
ASOS maternity jeans - these are "skinny jeans" but they are not "skinny" enough for me if you know what I mean.  If I wear jeans that are slightly baggy it makes me look even shorter so I try to avoid them.  It's good taking photos of your outfits so you know how it really looks!
t+j Designs Gold & Textured Chain Link Necklace
Chain Bangle | Heart chain bracelet and Tortoise bracelet will be in the shop soon!
RED Valentino Clutch - love this Ted Baker bow clutch too!
Christian Louboutin Bianca pumps - these are getting a bit too high for my pregnant belly but I'm still rocking the heels as much as I can!  I do always have a pair of flats in the car or my bag for back up though.

Yay it's Friday!  We moved into our new house and are slowly unpacking but hoping to get a lot more done this weekend as it pretty much sucks living out of boxes and unpacking things as we need them!

Also, if you haven't checked it out yet, we are running a FAB promo through this weekend only!  Get a FREE bubble necklace with your purchase of $35 or more and FREE shipping with orders over $20!  Free stuff is always an excuse to shop right? :)
