Weekly Outfits: Skirts and Dresses

Apparently it was a skirt week for me but most likely because I was too excited about our new skirts.  I have been wearing them non stop, they are the perfect summer skirt and I can't wait to pair them with tights for the fall!

This was an easy outfit for the office and unlike how I wore it on my Monday post, I had to add my usual color.  I've had this pink blouse forever but forgot about it and recently re-discovered it in my closet.

I got these pumps at the last designer shoe sale and they are my current obsession.  I think I was in the mood for color this day as it's not my typical outfit.  I love color but usually just let one color stand out.  I think that's what summer does to me, I like to wear as many bright colors as possible!

These are practically like pajama shorts.  They aren't, but they are so comfy that they should be!

Our new polka dot skirt that is my favorite out of our collection.  It's just so feminine and fun, I love the polka dots!  I've been asked about sizing and yes, sizing runs a little weird.  We are working on our sizing to be consistent (and we promise that the next collection will have three size ranges) but this skirt in particular runs a bit small.  The small could fit an XS to small, just check our measurements in case you aren't sure!

Another bright outfit but when I saw this dress on Shopbop, I couldn't help but order it just to try it on.  Of course when I got it, I fell in love.

A new series! Weekly Outfits

Ever since I had my daughter, it's been really hard to make time to take outfit photos.  I still wanted to share my outfits so I borrowed an idea from Cupcakes and Cashmere to take weekly outfit photos in my home office!  This way it's easier for me to just take a snap with my tripod and remote.  Although I do have to admit that I may sometimes forget to take photos or I'm not in my home office that day but I'm just going to do it as I can but will try to make this a weekly series on the blog.  A note about the links: I've been doing less shopping these days and exploring my closet so a lot of these outfits are old pieces but the ones that I bought recently and are still in stores I marked with an "exact" in the link.  Other links are similar styles that I could find.

What I'm Wearing
Joa Lace Back tee - I got mine not too long ago but it's sold out now, maybe you can still find it in the stores.  Here is a similar tee with a lace back.  I love the surprise in the back!
Rag and Bone Jeans - I have several pairs of Rag and Bone jeans as they are my favorite brand and fit.  They actually have a great sale right now and I grabbed this pair for 50% off!

Prada Crossbody - I love this crossbody bag, it's the perfect little bag as it has lots of pockets and slots for credit cards so you never have to bring an additional wallet or anything.  And it comes with a mirror!  But, ohmygoodness, I love this new crossbody.  So cute!

Not the most exciting or creative of outfits but this is what I wear on most of the days that I'm home with my baby girl.  She's crawling up a storm now so I'm always on the floor playing with her or trying to keep her away from everything she wants to touch but is not supposed to!  When I walk out the door to go somewhere I always grab a statement necklace to dress up the outfit and that's one of the best parts of owning your own jewelry line, I have tons of options!

What I'm Wearing
Alice and Olivia Coat - Similar here but in plaid.  I LOVE this coat and have been wearing it to death since I got it at the beginning of the winter.  I love the contrast of the leather sleeves with the wool body and the gold buttons.

Oh man, it's been a long time since I took a lookbook photo in a different location.  I admit most of these days when the camera is out it's aimed at my little one (how could we not, look at those cheeks!) or I'm in the picture with her so lookbook photos are now the last thing on my mind.  But we went to eat at Marination Ma Kai (it's a must go if you visit Seattle! The food is fabulous and the views are amazing! As you can see by the engagement photo session that I photobombed in the first photo.  LOL!) It wasn't very nice out but I do love capturing the gray Seattle days so decided to take advantage of it for a lookbook.

Lookbook: Grammys Inspired

Did you watch the Grammys last night?  It's always quite entertaining and I love the fashion.  I'm not sure I have a favorite for the night but I am all about the fun dresses, I noticed a lot of black, white and sparkle...

...which is what I based my outfit on!  I wanted to create a daytime look so went with subtle hints of sparkle and my new favorite faux leather leggings.  It's never me without some color so added in my new pink bag!

What I'm Wearing
Blazer: from Anthropologie (old) - Similar here.  Also love this black/white jacket!
Blouse: Madewell (on sale and get 40% off!  Wearing the XS) - love the little bit of bling on the collar. 
Leggings: Target - I mentioned this in last week's post but I really do love these leggings.  I'm so surprised at the quality for $20, they are some of the best leggings that I own!
Shoes: Saint Laurent - Mine have a captoe but they are all sold out.  The platforms on these make them really high (you can see a better photo of them on my instagram), they also have a version without the platform.
Bag: Prada - Love this little bag.  I think it's Prada's version of Chanel's Wallet on Chain (but much cheaper!) and actually quite roomy.  There's tons of slots for my cards and pockets for everything else.  It looks tiny but actually carries a lot!  My SA said that it was a new style for this season and the color I got it in was also brand new.  I actually haven't seen it in any other Prada boutiques since I bought it, I think it sold out pretty fast but I found the gray online here.  I also saw this crossbody which was cute but I liked that mine has the credit card slots so everything stays organized without carrying a wallet.

What I'm Wearing

Halogen Sweater - happy to have grabbed this on sale, it's the perfect fit and love the zipper in the back.  I just added this sweater to my cart, I'm loving the baggier fit and the colors it comes in.

SheInside Blouse - I know, I own way too many printed blouses, I can't help it, I just love them.  I also recently got this feather print and this heart print.

Henry & Belle skinny jeans - I was introduced to this brand when I was in Chicago at an event I was at for my jewelry line as they are a Chicago based brand and picked up a couple pairs while I was there.  I'm now totally obsessed and wanting more!  The fit and stretch of these jeans are perfection.  I got these coated jeans as well and they are awesome.  They have a leather like look but they are super soft unlike other coated denim that I own that's stiff.  Just a note to size down on these, they run big.

Over the knee boots -  I got mine ages ago but these are similar.  I don't know what I'd do without my over the knee boots, they are such a necessity during this season!  If you're wanting flat OTK boots, I love these and they're under $100!

Prada Saffiano Tote - I'm still loving my new bag and I might be crazy but I kinda want to get another in a different color!  I do love it in the smaller size too.

I'm desperately wanting to do something new with my hair.  Thinking about going back in for a digital perm.  I loved it before, although I didn't love how dry and brittle my hair became afterwards but right now, I'm willing to risk it for the look!  Oh and yes, the postpartum shedding has finally started for me.  My hair is falling out like nobody's business.  It is getting so annoying!
