3D Fiber Lashes + Giveaway!

Friday, June 13, 2014

I recently had a friend introduce me to a new mascara (thanks Mimy!) and for someone who has tried almost every single mascara out there drugstore and department store brands, I was blown away by this one!  I admit, I'm the first to get suckered into trying out new beauty products but I wanted to make sure that this one was right for me.  I tend to have very oily eyelids and under eyes so mascara and eyeliner will always end up all over my eyes by the afternoon unless I use a good primer or waterproof mascara.  I made sure that this was waterproof and wouldn't leave me with raccoon eyes at the end of the day before purchasing but I was still a tiny bit skeptical.  I gave it a shot and there has not been a day since I got this mascara that I haven't worn it.  I'll be honest, I sound crazy but I get excited to put on this mascara.  It just makes my eyes pop so much more and on those days that I'm dead tired, it really "wakes" up my face.  I used to be a big fan of false lashes and I still don't mind them for when I really want to get made up but but on a daily basis I just don't have the time (or really the want) to put on false lashes so this has been the most awesome thing for me.

Here's my before and after

And a couple more shots on different days just to show you that it really does work!  The photos aren't great but in person I've gotten so many comments about my lashes and what mascara I use.  Another great thing about this mascara is that my lashes stay curled all day and night! When I go to take my make up off at the end of the day, my mascara looks exactly the same.  I don't know how it does it but I am never using any other mascara again.

I just had to share with you all because if you are anything like me and love the look of long lashes then you gotta try this out!  I know I'm sounding like an infomercial but I really do love it and wouldn't recommend it if I didn't think it would work.  I've seen amazing results on everyone that's tried it out.

Mimy was kind enough to create a special link for my readers to buy!  You can go to http:/tiffany.fabulashmascara.com/ to purchase.  Full disclosure I do get credit for your purchases which enables me to get more mascara but regardless, I will continue buying this even if I don't get credit! :)  She was also generous enough to offer up a lip gloss for a giveaway!  She sent me one of the lipglosses as well and I am a fan.  It's glossy but also offers a nice pigment so it's not one of those glosses that just looks shiny but doesn't add anything else.  I'm definitely loving these two products so far and plan on trying out other products from this line.  If you end up getting the mascara, let me know how you like it, I would love to hear from you guys!

Random Friday: Beauty Faves and J Crew Sale

Friday, February 15, 2013

Just throwing a few random things into a post :)
I posted my nails on my instagram and facebook the other day and had a few people ask for a tutorial. Well, no tutorial is needed as these are stickers!  Just paint, stick, cut the sticker to your nail size, top with a top coat!  The easiest nail design ever!  I got mine from this Etsy seller but if you do a search for "Chevron Nail Decals" you'll find a bunch of options.  They don't last very long (mine last around 4-5 days) and you'll have to re-apply the top coat to keep the edges from curling but I still think they are worth it for the cute and easy nail design.  (Bracelets are from my jewelry line)

My latest make up routine includes the most amazing mascara ever.  Benefit's They're Real! Mascara is quite possibly the best mascara I've used in my life.  Since I've been using this, people comment on how long my lashes are constantly.  For an added fullness to my lashes I've been adding 2-3 individual falsies at the corners of my eyes.  I've long given up the strip lashes that I used to love when I was younger but these individual lashes are the perfect amount to give your eyes just an added look of fullness to your lashes.  They also blend in so well with your real lashes that people can not tell that you have falsies on.  Along with the mascara, it's an amazing combination!  (I should mention that I use regular lash glue so I can take them off at night, not the stronger glue that they recommend with individual lashes - you have to use a special remover to get that glue off!)

Here's a few photos with the mascara + lashes combination.

J Crew is currently having a 30% off sale promo so here are a few that I tried on in store that got a thumbs up from me.  Not all are available online so I suggest checking in store as they had quite a few different styles than online.
Tippi Sweater (available online in solid)
Boy Shirt (available online in plaid)

And my bow coat is on sale as well but looks like they are sold out of the pink.  Lookbook details here.

My jewelry line is also celebrating President's Day with an additional 30% off sale!  There's lots of styles perfect for spring!  Use code 30SALE.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Laura Mercier Art Deco Muse

Thursday, November 29, 2012

I posted on my instagram a pic of my accessories and lippies and I just had to tell you how obsessed I am with this Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Gilded Veil.  It's the perfect color for the holiday season and looks amazing layered over other colors.

It's part of Laura Mercier's Limited Edition Art Deco Muse collection.

My favorites from the collection:

Nail Lacquer in Crimson, Modern Red and Noir Glace

I'm also really loving the Graphic Liquid Eye Liner.  I've been using it almost every day since I got it.  The liner goes on really thick so you have to be really careful with the application.  I've been dotting it on my eyelid and then smudging it to create a thin smooth line.  What I love best though, is that the staying power is awesome.  It lasts through the entire day and does not smudge at all.  Once it's on, it's on!
And just a closer look at the mascara brush.  I love how full it is, it really covers every lash and brings out every your smallest lashes.  With a gentle touch, you can use it on your bottom lashes as well and it doesn't smudge.

Mineral Fusion Golden Touch Smoky Eyes

Friday, November 9, 2012

I recently got this kit and was interested in it because it had the colors that I tend to wear on a daily basis.  Let me tell you this little kit, blew me away!  I love it and use it almost every day.  My favorite is the mascara, it is super thickening and makes my lashes really stand out!

The kit is $24.99 which is a great price since you get the mascara, eye pencil and eye shadow trio.  I should also mention that it is free of gluten (yes, even make up can have gluten in it!  I recently learned this), Parabens, Artificial Colors, Fragrances and Talc. Never-tested on animals.

For a fab smoky eye, here's an easy step by step:

step 1- shadow
  • Press base color (lightest shade) onto the eyelid from the lashes to underneath the eyebrow using an eye base brush.
  • Press lid color (medium shade) onto the entire eyelid using a brush of choice, stopping beneath the brow bone.
  • Using the crease color (darkest shade), start at the outer edge of the eye and work the contour brush back and forth in a windshield wiper motion following the crease. For a more dramatic effect, continue layering the crease color.
step 2 - liner
  • Gently line the upper and lower lash line with the Touch Eye Pencil, staying as close as possible to the eyelashes.
  • For a more dramatic look, make lines thicker and sweep it up to extend it past your natural eye shape .
step 3 - mascara
  • Finish with Graphite Mascara on top and bottom lashes.
You can buy the kit at Whole Foods (I'm so obsessed with the beauty section at Whole Foods, so many good treasures to find there!) on their website MineralFusion.com.  You can also buy it separately.  I found the mascara here on sale for $11.24 and the eyeshadow trio here on sale for $18.74.

{Beauty} Everyday Makeup

Thursday, October 4, 2012

Photobucket

We all have our beauty routines, and when it comes to makeup, I have mine down to a science. I rarely deviate from my 'everyday face' (or whatever you want to call it), which now only takes me about five minutes to do in the morning. The key? Finding products you love and holding on to them for dear life... So with that said, here's a quick rundown of my daily makeup routine:

I've tried many foundations in my day, but my favourite by far is NARS' Sheer Glow Foundation. The formula goes on smooth and covers all my imperfections without looking too intense, and a bottle of the stuff lasts forever (which, at $55 a pop, is definitely a good thing). A recent addition to my cosmetic arsenal is Bare Minerals' Ready SPF 20 Foundation, which is beyond amazing. I don't usually wear powders because I'm not a fan of matte finishes (plus if I'm not careful, I get maaaajor cake-face), but when perfectly applied, this stuff is like a pressed miracle... For serious.

When it comes to mascara, I'm not a fan of shelling out big money for something that will only last me a month or two, so I always opt for CoverGirl's Lashblast Mascara. It works great and is super inexpensive, which is always a plus. The same goes for eyeliner (I switch between Revlon and L'Oreal based on whichever is cheapest at the time), and lipstick I can go either way on. I rarely find a difference between high end lipsticks and drugstore varieties (with certain exceptions of course), and after trying what feels like a million different products, my favourite is definitely CoverGirl's Lip Perfection Lipstick in a basic red (surprise surprise).

Oh, and let's not forget blush! Blush makes everything better, am I right? I love everything from cream to powder varieties, but the best and most natural-looking blush I've ever tried is hands down Benefit's Benetint. And if you don't believe me, I think it's cult following says it all.

Now it's your turn! Tell me lovelies, what are your makeup must haves? xx
