After Christmas Shopping Haul!

Thursday, January 9, 2014

After all my Christmas shopping was done I took advantage of all the sales and got myself some fun stuff!  Wanted to share while they were still online as I love everything I got!

I already have the heart elbow patch sweater but thought I needed the red one for the holidays :)  I always need stripes in my closet and love the added detail of the fun shaped elbow patches.  It's funny because I own only a few regular jeans, all my jeans are colored or printed.  I liked these Chevron jeans on the photo online so tried them out.  When I got them I was a bit iffy but after I put them on, I was sold.  I like that it's a bit more subtle than my other printed jeans and the fit is perfect.

Right now I don't wear dresses as often as I'd like to.  As a nursing mom I'm always trying to figure out what to wear that I can nurse in easily so most dresses are out of the picture.  But my husband and I do still try to have date nights without the baby often so that's when I can pull out my dresses.  I love the drop hem and the color of the one on the left and the black and white stripes is too cute, I can layer a sweater over the top to make it look like it's just a skirt.

A little bit of bling always gets me!  I love these for every day wear and they are super cheap with J Crew's additional 40% off sale items!

The heart sweater is actually a crop sweater which I wasn't expecting when I ordered it and I'm not usually one for crop anything but it actually is pretty cute with a white tee underneath.  The gold LOVE sweater is a new favorite.

Another printed blouse to add to my closet but I do love heart prints so I couldn't resist.  It's a great top to layer underneath a sweater and just have the collar pop out.  The faux leather skirt is really cute on, it kind of flares out.  I'm just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit so I can at least wear it out with tights!

Summer Dress Shopping Haul!

Monday, August 26, 2013

Towards the middle to end of my pregnancy, I hadn't bought anything for awhile but I finally gave in and went shopping because I was feeling pretty terrible about a) being gigantic and b) not being able to fit into anything in my closet.  Since I was about a month away from my due date, I figured I needed to get through this last month somehow.  Well, thank goodness Layla decided otherwise and came early so I'm not having to worry about dressing such a gigantic bump anymore but I am dealing with this post pregnancy body that is definitely a transition phase and not the easiest to dress for either.  Luckily all the things that I bought work for it so wanted to share what I got!

I love the dresses that I got from SheInside.  The lace crochet dress is super pretty and roomy enough that worked well with the bump but now hides the extra tummy flab that I'm sporting these days :)

And the adorable dress behind it is this cheeky little dress that is not typically my style but I just thought it was too cute and had to try it out.  I love it!

The butterfly maxi was my favorite thing that came in the package!  It was totally the perfect thing to wear during these hot summer months and it's quite flattering on!  I will have a lookbook up with it soon.  And the lace top behind it is supposed to be worn very baggy but looks great with leggings or a slim skirt underneath.

The dresses I got sold out pretty fast so here are a few dresses from SheInside that i'm loving...

I hit up forever 21 for some cute stretchy knits.  I love the black and white prints as I can match them with any bright tops in my closet.  I got the neon sweater which is great on it's own but loved pairing it with the tank dress for an easy and cute outfit.

And what I love about the black and white patterns is that it's so easy to add a statement necklace to it to dress it up a bit.  We added these new pieces to our latest collection and I just adore them.  The lucite necklace is one of my favorite pieces and I get compliments whenever I wear it.

Chicwish Haul

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

The super sweet ladies over at Chicwish sent over a package of some cute stuff.  When I opened the package and saw this dress, I fell heads over heels in love!  It's so darling I had to share it immediately on instagram.  I don't even need a special occasion to wear it I'm just going to bust it out during a normal day just so I can do twirls in it :)

It's really cute on, I love the addition of the tulle underneath the skirt to make it a bit more poofy.  I got the size small but my chest/ribcage is on the bigger side and it zips up in the chest area but just barely.  So just be aware of that for the sizing!  They have it in black too!

I also got this maxi dress and I love it as well.  The open back is a cute detail.  Best part?  It's actually short enough for us shorties so we don't have to hem it!

I've been into sequins lately so when I spotted this sweater it was on my "just ugly enough to be cute" list if you know what I mean.  But when I got it I actually liked it on!  It's pretty comfy and love the sequin details!

Adore how she paired it with a skirt, will do the same!

I had the same thoughts with this sweater but wanted to try it out since it's so different than anything I have in my closet.  I don't love it as much as the sweater above but still cute!  It actually looks really cute paired with my slouchy boyfriend jeans.

I've ordered from Chicwish a couple of times now and have always been pleased with my purchases.  You can see my last haul from them here.  Quality wise, their clothes are still in the "junior clothing" for quality and fit however it's probably a step above Forever 21 in that the materials they use are a bit thicker and the attention to detail is better.  The things that I've washed haven't shrunk instantly or became misshapen or pilly.  I highly recommend them, plus they just have a lot of cute styles that I don't find anywhere else.  Sizing wise their smalls fit more like an XS and their "one size" items fits more like a Medium.  Hope that helps if you guys decide to order from them!

December Shopping haul

Friday, January 4, 2013

Before Christmas I took advantage of quite a few sales but have yet to wear any of my items for lookbooks so thought I'd share what I ended up keeping and love so if you guys are interested you can still find them online.

Chicwish has the cutest things and they are now doing 20% off your order of regular price items, use code NY20 and 10% off sale items, code SALE10

The sweaters only come in one size and run quite baggy but I like to wear them with my J Crew Pixie pants and booties for an oversized look.  Plus, they are super warm and cozy so perfect for these freezing cold days we are having.
The pink polka dot blouse is from Sheinside (take $20 off orders over $100 with merryxmas20) and the beige polka dot blouse is from Shop Sosie (it has a bow in the back, it's so cute!).

And just some cute printed items.  I'm big on prints and have been getting more into printed pants and skirts.
J Crew Bow Print Cords (get extra 30% off with code STYLE2013) | Madewell Bow Tee
ShopSosie Lace Blouse - sorry for the terrible picture but this is a new favorite top, love the lace.
Romwe Blouse - Similar style, different print
OASAP Stud Sweater - this is way cuter in person, the quality is great and really soft.

Jewel Print Skirt (c/o Dorothy Perkins)
I love the print of the gems floating at the bottom.  I've been wanting to wear this but the freezing weather has kept me from wearing any sort of dresses or skirts lately.

We've got a great facebook giveaway for my jewelry line!  10 winners will be chosen to win one of our Pretty Baubles necklaces!  The winners will get to choose which color they want out of the 5 colors we carry.  I just love these and they look great layered too!  Find the details on how to enter here.

Have a great weekend!

Shopping + Haul!

Thursday, September 13, 2012

Acquired a few new things in the past month and wanted to do a little haul post to share with you guys.  Thought I'd share a few detail shots before you see them in my lookbooks!

I adore this striped shirt, and how cute are the puff sleeves.  This will definitely be a staple in my fall wardrobe.

I recently discovered that Amazon has some amazing deals on clothing.  I had no idea as I usually buy necessities or techie stuff on Amazon and have never really checked out their fashion section until recently.  I love this Amanda Uprichard dress that was $211 and I got it for $56!  (It's now marked down to $49)  It's a gorgeous dress on and love the pleating and the print.  I can wear it now but will definitely wearing it with black tights and boots for the fall.  I got this in Petite and it fits perfectly.

I did some sale shopping at J Crew (see below for more details) and picked up this sweatshirt that I can tell you will be a new favorite.  I'm going for two trends at once with this leopard print peter pan collar shirt but I love it, it's just the right touch of leopard print!

I came across these at Nordstrom and I knew I had to get them before even trying them on!  The color is so pretty and I do love me some bright shoes so I know I'll get lots of wear from these.  Oh and I was super impressed with the quality of these for the price.  I may have to get another color!  I stayed true to size for these pumps.  They actually are slightly big in the toe box but work fine when I put in foot petals.

Rachel Roy Gardner Pump - Piperlime has them in a few different colors.  I LOVE the sequin ones!

A few J Crew dressing rooms pics.  They put some cute fall stuff on sale so I had to try them on.  The pink silk shirt is a great staple.  After I put it on, I realized that I have something similar so I didn't get it but I loved the color and the fit.  And you know that I already got this sweatshirt.  I'm usually not one for words on my clothing but thought it was a cute design.

Obviously, loving the black and white with the neon! :)  I got the neon yellow shorts as they are one of the colors that I don't have and they were on sale for $29.99.  And the very popular Blythe Blouse came in the same color and was on sale for $59.99 so got that one too.  Both the printed pieces were on sale but I didn't end up getting either.

These were my favorites of their new fall stuff.  Love the cute peter pan collar sweater except it was so itchy!  Definitely need to wear another layer underneath.  The pink cords are so fun and they run true to size.  Didn't get either of these either but will keep checking to see if they go on sale.

Lots of cute fall stuff in stores now, I do love fall shopping!
