Friday, October 18, 2013

It's Saks Friends and Family time, get 25% off with code FRNFAM!  I'm of course shopping the shoes, here's what I'm eyeing...

Ooh the choices, what are you guys getting? :)

J Crew Sale haul!

Monday, October 14, 2013

I walked into J Crew this weekend and was pleasantly surprised to see they were doing 20% off all sale and on top of that 25% off your entire purchase!  Found some good stuff so wanted to share as I saw that they are offering the 25% off online now (however not the extra off of sale so you might want to check your stores!)

I love the boyfriend sweater and got them in both these colors.  Perfect for the winter and easy to wear with everything!  I got them in store for $23.99 each!  I'm wearing size XXS.
How could I not love the stripe necklace tee?  It's so cute and just love the jewels at the neckline.  I'm wearing an XS here.  It's pretty fitted and not much stretch so not like their regular tees.  I got this top in both the colors they have.

I've been looking for a cute vest and this striped one fit the bill.  This isn't on sale in store but just saw that it's $10 off online.  I'm wearing the XS here but I ended up getting the XXS as I liked the fit better.
If you are wondering the jeans I'm wearing here are old but they are J Crew too and they still have them here (and on sale!)

On my way out I spotted the Tilda Rhinestone top and the Ruffled Rhinestone Top on sale as well.  I didn't end up getting them but they are super cute so thinking about going back to get them!

Sorry for my crappy photos but here's what they look like on the models.  They were both marked down to $79.99 in store.

My favorite thing that I got was this leather front cardigan.  It's gorgeous on!  I first spotted it on Chloe and loved it on her.  It's a bit pricey but considering that it's leather and with the 25% off, it was pretty reasonable.  I wear cardigans pretty much all the time throughout the fall and winter so I think this will definitely get lots of wears!

New to my make up bag

Friday, July 12, 2013

I got a chance to try out this IT Cosmetics "Your most beautiful you" collection and I had to share because I love every single thing!

Here are the things it comes with
  • Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer
  • Heavenly Luxe Dual Airbrush Foundation/Concealer Brush
  • Hello Light™ Anti-Aging Crème Luminizer
  •  Heavenly Luxe™ Pointed Precision Complexion Brush
  • Your Brows But Better™ Brow Power Skinny Pencil
  • Vitality Lip Blush™ Hydrating Gloss Stain
The under eye concealer is AMAZING.  It totally covers up dark circles and never creases or cracks.  The concealer brush is the perfect tool to put it on with.  The Luminizer is a fab highlighter and it comes with instructions on where best to put it to give you the perfect glow.  And I'm always looking for a great brow pencil which I'm loving how thin this one is that gives you a more precise tool to fill in your brows.  Less chance of making a mistake and ending up with wonky or overly dark brows.  The gloss stain is super hydrating and gives off a nice hint of color.

This kit is going to be a Today's Special Value on QVC tomorrow, July 13th only so wanted to make sure that you guys don't miss it!

I've been a fan of Laura Mercier forever and here are the latest items that I added to my makeup essentials.

The Laura Mercier Eye Canvas is the perfect eyeshadow base.  I've been a devoted fan of Urban Decay's primer for awhile now but mine finally ran out so am trying this one out and gotta say I really love how creamy and smooth it goes on and it really keeps my shadows and liner stay on all day.

Which also brings me to the Longwear Crème Eye Pencil (this one is in cobalt).  It goes on super smooth but doesn't smudge easily, which is great because I have pretty oily eyelids and even with a primer/base my liners smudge all the time.  It's waterproof which I've found is the best for my eyes so that it really doesn't budge.

The Kohl Liner Extreme which is so great for when I want to do a dramatic smokey eye.  They actually recommend this to be applied on your inner lids, I believe some people call it the "water line" which I know people don't love to do and I definitely am not a fan of doing it daily but it's essential to create a dramatic smokey eye.

And lastly this Miracle Skin Transformer SPF 20 which I've been using as a primer but works great for light coverage as well.  This one is "designed to hydrate, prime, enhance, mattify, and protect your skin in a single step."  I'm a total sucker for these type of multi-taskers so had to try it out and it really is a fabulous product.  I love the light coverage and the SPF protection and when I need a bit more coverage I just pat on my favorite Make Up For Ever powder and I'm good to go.

Also if you are a Nordstrom card holder if you haven't already checked out the Nordstrom Anniversary sale preview, you gotta see the great cosmetic specials they have!

I always love their MAC anniversary kits and can't help but want this pink MAC lip kit.  And how cute is the holder that comes with this brush kit?  It comes with some great essential brushes that I can always use in my makeup kit.

I got the NARS Cheek palette last year and am still using it but am tempted to get this year's Cheek & Eye palette too.   Love NARS Lip products and this kit is the perfect nudes!
I don't know if everyone can access this link but here is the products for the Early Access sale preview if you want to see the rest!

{Style} Landscapes...

Wednesday, July 3, 2013

Sometimes a deal is just too good to pass up, like this — wait for it — $7 (!!!) dress from H&M. That's right my friends, 7 big ones... I'll just give you a minute to let that sink in.

Now it might not look as good on me as it does on Beyonce (her giant posters pretty much taunted me during checkout), but I don't mind — Like I said before, a deal's a deal. Good thing I'm a sucker for a landscape print, huh?

In other news, if you're fretting over Google Reader going kaput, don't despair — you can still get the latest by following AiF over on Bloglovin... Thanks for all the support, encouragement and general awesomeness over the years — You guys are the bestest! xx

Madewell 40% off - Today Only

Thursday, June 13, 2013

Madewell is having a great sale on a ton of items for 40% off but it's today only!  Saw so many cute things, tempted to go check it out in store so I can try stuff on.  This is what I'm eyeing...

Love these cute summer dresses!  Like I mentioned I'm a huge fan of drop waist dresses right now and the chevron dress is just too cute.  I love dresses with sleeves.

You can never have too many striped tops right?  I love the slight variations of these and they would look so cute with shorts and sandals for a cute but casual look.

I'm still a fan of sweaters even in the summer.  I'm always looking out for lightweight summers as my arms are always cold no matter the temperature.  I would pair these with shorts (these floral ones are adorable!) and then they'll transition perfectly into fall with a pair of skinny jeans.

Which brings me to their skinny skinny jeans which have long been a favorite of mine.  I own so many pairs of their skinny jeans because they fit so well that I just buy them whenever I see them on sale.  They are perfect and the ankle length is great for shorties like me, no hemming!  They run true to size for me.

I spotted these pouches and can't resist how cute they are!  For $15 I may get two!  They are perfect to pop into a tote or laptop bag when you need to carry some essentials but don't want them to be scattered all over your bag.

Designer Shoe and Handbag Sale

Tuesday, May 28, 2013

This was the first time in a really long time that I did not pre-sale for the designer shoe and handbag sale, but between how busy work is and buying a new house and having a baby, there was no time or money left!  I did however browse this morning and there is a ton of great stuff on sale!  My favorite place to buy from online is Saks and Net-a-Porter since I don't have to pay tax when ordering from there.  Barneys also started their sale and I believe Nordstrom will have their designer sale online tomorrow.

And a ton of cute bags too!

You know how much I love my mini Marcie (see it on me here), they have a couple on sale!  The "small" size Marcie is on sale as well in select colors.  I also have this size and love it (see it on me here).

If you are looking for a great work bag, I'm LOVING this Prada that's marked down.  This tote is also a great option.

My Nordstrom designer handbag SA has a facebook page where she updates photos of new arrivals and sales.  You can also contact her there to see the photos of what she has on sale so email her if you are interested!

Sale Shopping: J Crew, Sephora and Kate Spade

Friday, April 12, 2013

I went shopping yesterday and had to update you guys on the extra 30% off on sale items at J Crew!  It's not online and not sure how long it's going to last in store but make sure to check it out.  There is a ton of cute stuff!

I love the polka dot Blythe Blouse but unfortunately the smallest size they had was a 2.  I typically take a 00 and occasionally a 0 in the Blythe and the 2 was just a bit too baggy for me.  The little crinkle skirt is adorable and is $28 after the 30% discount! I tried on a few different sizes to see how my bump would grow with it.  The skirt on the left is a 0 and the skirt on the right is a 2.  I like the poofiness of the 2 better so if you want that look, size up!
Prices listed are in store prices before the addt'l 30% off
Blythe Blouse (polka dot not avail online) - $99.99

I've been so into peter pan collars lately and love that this little sweater is short sleeve.  Perfect for the spring/summer when it finally warms up around here.  It's not on sale online but I got it for $35!  And the cardigan is a nice staple that I don't have so thought it would be great to have in my wardrobe. (The pants I'm wearing here are these ones from Madewell.  Shoes are Dior.)

Also, a few sales to mention... Sephora is having 15% off so I'm stocking up on some basics.
LORAC TANtalizer Highlighter & Matte Bronzer Duo - I got this from a Glam Beauty Board box and I fell in love with it.  The regular size is pretty big and takes up a big part of my makeup bag so I love that it comes in a travel size now.
NARS Eyeliner Stylo - the best and easiest eyeliner pen that I've used.
Clarisonic Cleansing Brush Head - love my Clarisonic and always can use new brush heads.  Definitely good time to get these on discount!

Make Up For Ever Duo Mat Powder Foundation - I've been a loyal user of this powder foundation for years.  It's hands down my favorite, provides great coverage without being cakey and matches my skin tone well.
Make Up For Ever Lift Concealer - the best under eye concealer.
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine - part of me buys it because the packaging is so pretty but I do love the lipstick formula as well.  It goes on smoothly and never dries out my lips.
Alterna Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil Dry Oil Mist - my favorite hair product.  It not only smells good but a spritz of this helps keep my hair healthy and makes it shiny.

And Kate Spade is having 25% off Friends & Family sale.
I've got my eye on these totally fabulous bright pumps.

And if somebody out there wants to buy me a baby bag, I'll take this one.  Please and thank you ;)

Happy shopping and happy Friday!!

ASOS Shopping

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

ASOS is one of my favorite online shops.  Sizing is a bit inconsistent but the free shipping and returns makes it easy enough to order what I want and then return whatever doesn't fit.  They have a great 20% off sale a ton of styles right now AND an extra bonus of up to $50 off your order!  With this good of a deal I had to place an order.

I'm a total girly girl and love these pretty lacy, floral pieces.  The green dress in the middle may be my favorite, I hope it fits!

And loving these fun tops for the spring/summer.  I'm not a huge fan of peplum, for some reason it never looks right on me, but I like that these peplum tops have a bit of a longer length which works better for someone with a short torso like me.  If you know me, I love printed tops and bow tie tops so this bow printed top needed to be in my closet.  There's a dress version of it too!

Are you guys getting anything from the sale?

Shopping with me: J Crew and Madewell Sales

Tuesday, February 5, 2013

I went to the mall this weekend and spotted the new arrivals at J Crew that I had been eyeing online so tried some stuff on but in the end didn't end up loving them. Thought I'd give you guys my review in case you guys were thinking about getting them too.  Also, I included the sizes I tried on, I found that most things ran TTS for J Crew and for reference, I'm 5'2' and typically a size 0/XS in most brands.

The Tilda Oxford Rhinestone Top is adorable in person.  Sorry I didn't grab a better picture of the rhinestones on the collar, J Crew doesn't have a better close up either but it's so pretty.  I love the detail.  I wasn't so sure about how high it went up on my neck, I felt like it was choking me, so I didn't get it (but if it goes on sale, I might reconsider!).  I'm loving the new Liberty print and immediately gravitated towards the toothpick jeans in the print.  Super cute but a bit pricey.  I have a few pairs of J Crew jeans and they've all stretched pretty badly on me (only after 1-2 wears) and I don't want to be spending $150 on a pair of jeans that stretch so much but if they go on sale, I'll definitely be picking them up as I adore the print!  Oh, the sweater I'm wearing on the right is an old J Crew sweater I was already wearing that day, I just wanted to see how it looked like with a sweater over the rhinestone top which I would probably wear like this most of the time anyway.

Libery Toothpick Jeans (wearing size 24)

Lots of pics, click through to see the rest of my shopping trip and buys...

I just blogged about this sweater and I really wanted to love it but I ended up not liking it.  The collar is much too stiff and wouldn't sit nicely.  You see how it kind of stands up at the back?  I couldn't get it to lay flat on the around my neck.  I also didn't love the wide stripes on me.  So glad I tried it on before I ordered it online as I definitely didn't love it.

They had a small (very small) sale section that was an additional 50% off so I picked through it and found these cute color block chambray shirts.  In store they were $20 each after discount but they're $29.99 online so I would check your stores first!  I just thought they were cute basics and could wear them with a cardigan or blazer for an easy daytime casual look.

I stopped by Madewell afterwards (J Crew, Madewell and Nordstrom are always my main staples when I hit the mall!) and the sales associate told me they were having an additional 40% off sale so I headed straight back to see what I could find.

First the new arrivals.  I'm a sucker for cutesy prints so had to try on the Starry Sweater and the cutest bow jeans!  The Starry sweater was too similar to my bow sweater that I got at Madewell earlier in the fall so I passed but I'm totally regretting not buying the cute bow jeans.  I love them, however I do have a problem with printed pants/colored jeans at the moment and vowed not to buy any more but we shall see, I may return for these.  :)

Starry Sweater (wearing XS)

Like I said, the sale was an addtional 40% off so lots of great deals to be had!  The Spectrum sweater is not on sale online but was marked down to $69.99 (the prices I list are all before the extra discount).  I liked the chunky knit but it made me look a bit boxy so passed.  The Heartstripe sweater that I've been eyeing was on sale for $59.99.  And I randomly picked up these striped dot pants that I didn't initially love but after trying them on, I knew I could pair them with lots of stuff I had at home.  And the best part?  They were $39.99! (and if you're wondering, I ended up getting these because they are pants - not jeans - so they can be dressed up a bit more and I don't have as many pants as I do jeans!)
- just a note, they were too big in the waist for me and I probably should've sized down but didn't see my size out there so just went with these as they fit fine through the leg.  But if you are getting them I do suggest staying TTS.

I thought I would like the gray Heartstripe Sweater better but I ended up liking this tan with the red hearts.  They didn't have an XS in this color but I like the look of a baggier sweater with leggings or skinny jeans so I don't mind sizing up in sweaters.
Heartstripe Sweater (wearing size S)

All in all, with a few giftcards in hand and the extra discounts, I ended spending under $100!  I was a very pleased little shopper. :)

psst... if you are wanting my very blingtastic iPhone case, you can get it here!

In my cart...

Thursday, January 10, 2013

Just doing some "window shopping"  I always put things in my cart and then close out of the window because I'm not really going to buy it and then I end up going back and being like "OK which ones of these do I really want?"  It's like a game for me :)

ASOS is having a great sale and an additional 10% off.  Here's what's in my cart...

Nordstrom has some great markdowns too.  I'm always stocking up on blazers and coats this time of year and Nordstrom has really great sales on the designer labels.
